Markgraf is leading the way as the first construction company in Europe to adopt the innovative INDUROS transport robot from Innok Robotics. This move represents a significant milestone in the automation and digitization efforts of the medium-sized company, which shares its roots with Innok Robotics in the Upper Palatinate. It also sends a strong signal to the broader construction industry, which is increasingly embracing automation and digital transformation.
Innovative solutions in the new logistics and mobility center
With a budget of over 40 million euros, another Markgraf site is currently being built on 65,000 m² of land in Kemnath. In addition to the new logistics and mobility center, this will also be home to a training and education center. With consistently progressive thinking, the site will be equipped with an autonomous transport system by the INDUROS, which will efficiently link the various halls and open spaces on the site and further increase productivity in day-to-day operations. An environment that can currently only be completely automated with the INDUROS.
The INDUROS – multi-terrain and outdoor capable
The INDUROS transport robot from Innok Robotics is a true all-rounder. It is multi-terrain capable and can work reliably both indoors and outdoors on a wide variety of ground conditions and in all weather conditions. This feature makes it particularly valuable for construction companies like Markgraf, which need flexible and robust solutions. The function of reversing with a trailer was also completed in time for use at Markgraf. It was a function that Markgraf and the accompanying OTH Regensburg had explicitly requested. It makes the INDUROS even more versatile and adaptable and shows how individually and quickly Innok Robotics can respond to customer requests. The project is then further developed together during ongoing operation and the experiences and improvements are incorporated into the series.

With the new logistics center and the integration of the INDUROS transport robot, Markgraf shows once again that it is ready to invest in the future and use new technologies to optimize processes and make them more sustainable.
Markgraf was supported in the implementation of the automated transport system by the “Digitalized Construction” department of the OTH Regensburg under Prof. Thomas Linner, whose outstanding expertise led to this innovative and everyday solution together with Innok.
