Intrepid Control Systems has confirmed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HORIBA MIRA, aimed at jointly exploring how to support the market with data-driven optimisation for whole vehicle calibrations in the cloud, while facilitating the transition towards Software-Defined Vehicles.
By leveraging Intrepid’s data collection and cloud analytic tools, the collaboration brings the results of various customer and internal research projects to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. This partnership aims to accelerate time to market by reducing the number of required prototypes through the use of machine learning-based scenario generators, digital twins, and calibration optimisation, all hosted via cloud infrastructure.
These advanced tools, supporting virtual testing, simulation, and optimisation, can enable OEMs to achieve cost savings of 20-30% per project while significantly reducing the need for physical prototypes and extensive field testing.
